To change the general settings, you need an administrator account.
IPs allowed to access SmartOLT
To allow logins only from your own networks, go to Settings → General and click Edit general settings. In IPs allowed to access SmartOLT, enter the public IP addresses and subnets of those networks, separated by commas, for example 203.0.113.10,198.51.100.0/24. Leave the field empty to allow logins from any address.
SmartOLT checks the list before it saves it, and it can show these errors:
| Error | Cause |
|---|---|
| Please input only valid IP addresses or CIDR notations for allowed IPs, separated by comma | An entry is not a valid IP address or subnet. |
| ... is a private address. The server only sees your public IP, enter that instead. | You entered a private address, for example 192.168.1.10. SmartOLT sees only the public address of your network. |
| Please also input the current IP you are connecting from: ... | The list does not include the address that you use now. SmartOLT also suggests the subnet of your provider. |
Warning
The list applies to every user, including you. If your public IP address changes, for example when you work from home or from a mobile network, you cannot log in. For this reason, add every network that you log in from.
